Βασίλης Αντωνιάδης
Vassilis Antoniades is a Senior Partner and Managing Director, heading the BCG Athens Office.
Vassilis has been involved in the build-up of BCG Athens since early 2003 and led a number of key assignments in the region and globally. He is leading the Financial Services practice area for BCG’s CEMA region (Central Europe, Middle East and Africa). He is a core member of BCG’s Financial Institutions Group, as well as the Strategy, Organization and Operations Practices.
Prior to joining BCG, Vassilis served as an investment banker in New York and London, involved in IPO and M&A activity in North America and Europe.
His twenty-year long experience among other things encompasses the following: Transforming organizations especially in the post financial crisis era. His work has tackled redefining the strategy, new business model, reorganizing, deep cost cutting. In addition to his work in the banking sector, he has worked on these topics with leading organizations in various domains, from public sector to cultural foundations.
He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School (1999) and a B.Sc. magna cum laude in International Finance from Georgetown University (1993). He has also served in the Hellenic Air Force for two years as Air Traffic Controller, both in the Araxos 127 NATO Air Base and in the Piraeus Joint Naval and Air Rescue Center.
He sits on the Advisory Board of the Athens University of Economic and Business MBA Program. He is a board member of the Bodossaki Foundation and of the Benaki Museum. He is an elected board member of the American Hellenic Chamber of Commerce since September 2010.
He is married with Katerina Papageorgiou and has two children.
