“Towards an open economy and a fair society”<br />

Our organisation envisages to become an agent of change towards a more open, fair society and economy. Greece’s return to sustainable growth depends on its timely response to the challenges of public debt sustainability, high unemployment rate and shortfalls in public revenues. <br />
<br />
Therefore, only by safeguarding our European future within the eurozone can we achieve a prudent management of our public finances along with a competitive, business-driven and export-oriented economy. <br />
<br />
On top of this effort, a new national growth strategy is a prerequisite, based on six pillars as follows: <br />
<ol>
<li>Immediate investment boost</li>
<li>Access to finance </li>
<li>Rationalization of production costs </li>
<li>Reform of Social Security System</li>
<li>Universal electronic payments and e-government </li>
<li>Acceleration of privatizations, EC structural funds and EFSI funding for major investment projects.</li>
</ol>
SEV is an avid promoter of the above strategy both at the national and the international level in order to assist in the stabilisation of the Greek economy and to provide enterprises with the necessary time to adapt and grow. <br />
